LI 03 LA IN LI CI AM Incorporate light fi xtures with consistent luminaire and pole styles that are unique and refl ect the character and heritage of San Jacinto. A common lighting standard for the San Jacinto Texas Historic District can help brand the District. Each community can reinforce its identity with lighting fi xtures and other street furnishings within an overall theme consistent with the District. Select lighting fi xtures that can serve multiple functions such as to support street lights, pedestrian scaled lights, signs, banners, fl ags, festival and holiday lighting, and hanging or other landscape planters. In areas with high potential for pedestrian traffi c, provide ornamental, pedestrian-scaled lighting fi xtures that add to the visual character and pedestrian appeal of the streetscape. Pedestrian lighting can be located either as stand-alone poles or as att achments to street light poles or buildings.
