event from its output dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>itialization.<br />

Now that we have a detector module we can connect it to the count<strong>in</strong>g circuitry<br />

that we already have:<br />

The function of the above circuitry should be clear: The Detect module sends<br />

an event each time it detects a ris<strong>in</strong>g edge, these events are counted by the<br />

Evt Cnt module.<br />

To test it, let’s put this macro <strong>in</strong>to an audio core cell, and count the ris<strong>in</strong>g edges<br />

of a sawtooth waveform. The <strong>in</strong>ternal structure of the core cell will look like:<br />

and the primary level test structure:<br />

(Don’t forget to set the Meter properties as <strong>in</strong> previous examples.)<br />
