Appendix I. Core cell library
I.1. Audio Shaper > 3-1-2 Shaper
Audio signal shaper with variable amount of 2nd and 3rd order distortion. The
distortion amount and type is controlled by the Shp input:
Shp = 0 no shaping
Shp > 0 3rd order shaping
Shp < 0 2nd order shaping
I.2. Audio Shaper > Broken Par Sat
Broken parabolic saturator. Has a linear segment around the zero level.
L input specifies the output level for the full saturation
(typical value = 1).
H input specifies the hardness (range 0…1). Larger values correspond
to a larger linear segment in the middle.
S input controls the symmetry of the shaping curve (range –1…1). At
0 the curve is symmetric.
I.3. Audio Shaper > Hyperbol Sat
Simple hyperbolic saturator. The L input specifies the full saturation output
level (typical value = 1). However the full saturation is never reached with
this type of saturator.
