CALIDAD<br />
La Farmacopea Española establece un contenido mínimo <strong>de</strong> aceite esencial en hoja entera <strong>de</strong><br />
15 ml/kg y <strong>de</strong> 10 ml/kg en hoja fragmentada, aunque los contenidos más habituales se sitúan<br />
entre 10 y 25 ml/kg.<br />
Los componentes principales <strong>de</strong>l aceite esencial <strong>de</strong> salvia son 35-60 % <strong>de</strong> tuyona, un 10- 20 %<br />
<strong>de</strong> cineol, menos <strong>de</strong>l 10 % <strong>de</strong> alcanfor y pequeñas cantida<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong> otros elementos (Cañigueral<br />
et al., 1998; De Mastro et al., 2006)
