Jimmy, un PVVIH (Personne Vivant avec le VIH /Sida), se bat chaque
jour contre la discrimination et la stigmatisation des malades. Il n’arrête
pas de sensibiliser les gens de son quartier, et d’être aux côtés des
malades. À travers son travail, il y a une radioscopie de la Tunisie de
nos jours avec toutes les mœurs sociales, la perception de la maladie
du Sida par les gens et le tabou d’en parler déjà.

According to medical terminology, Jymmy is a « PLWAIDS » a person living with
the AIDS virus. But he is first man who, every day, fights against discrimination
and the stigma of being ill. He educates the people in his neighbourhood, and
urges them to spend more time with those who are sick. Through this portrait
of Jimmy, this documentary gives us a close look at Tunisian society, its perception
and understanding of this disease and social standards, and invites us
to break certain taboos-to begin with the one of talking openly about it.

Busi Maqungo est séropositive et mère de deux enfants, elle vit dans
un bidonville en dehors du Cap en Afrique du Sud. Rien n’a vraiment
changé depuis que la photo de Sinesipho a été prise, il y a quatre ans.
Elle aimerait savoir pourquoi. Pouvons-nous faire confiance aux organismes
qui n’ont pas rempli leur contrat vis-à-vis de la personne qui
symbolisait leur action Faut-il croire les gouvernements qui prétendent
éradiquer la pauvreté alors que l’épidémie du SIDA s’étend toujours
et fait dans la population des millions de victimes
Guidés par les interrogations de Busi, nous sommes allés à la recherche
de Sinesipho. Par le web, la vidéoconférence ou en personne,
Busi va se confronter à des hommes politiques, des activistes et des
leaders de la lutte contre le SIDA. Finalement, son voyage montrera
qu’enrayer l'épidémie est en premier lieu une question de volonté politique,
qui ne peut exister sans la responsabilité citoyenne.

Busi Maqungo is an HIV+ mother of two boys living in a shack settlement outside
Cape Town in South Africa. Nothing much has changed in the four years since
the photograph was taken, and she would like to know why. Can we trust the
institutions that seemingly failed the very person embodying their existence
Should we trust governments that boast to end poverty‚ when their failure to address
the epidemic has resulted in millions dying and ever more infections
Guided by Busi’s experience and interrogations we went looking for Sinesipho,
to see whether the world made good on their promise. Via videoconference or
in person, she will confront politicians, activists, and the leaders of the fight
against AIDS, and see how other people in the world live with the disease. Ultimately,
her journey will show that stopping the killer tide of the epidemic is in
the first instance a question of political will, and that survival depends on citizens
taking up their political responsibility.
