C'est le 24 mars 1954 que naît Casimir Zoba à Goma Tsé-Tsé, un vil<strong>la</strong>ge<br />
<strong>du</strong> Congo Brazzaville. Zao est un révé<strong>la</strong>teur <strong>de</strong>s maux et <strong>de</strong>s problèmes<br />
<strong>du</strong> continent Africain. Par le biais <strong>du</strong> rire et <strong>de</strong> l'ironie, il fait<br />
passer un message politisé et profondément ancré dans son époque.<br />
Zao est un film documentaire portraitiste en hommage à un enfant<br />
d'Afrique. Il ne ressemble à personne, c'est un monument, son univers<br />
est avant tout celui <strong>de</strong>s mots, écrits et joués par lui, pour réveiller nos<br />
consciences ! C'est un «griot mo<strong>de</strong>rne» qui chante l'Afrique «cadavere».<br />

Casimir Zoba was born on March 24, 1954 in Goma Tsé-Tsé, a vil<strong>la</strong>ge in Congo<br />
Brazzaville. Zao is a telltale character of the difficulties and problems of the<br />
African continent. Using <strong>la</strong>ughter and humour, he conveys a political message<br />
<strong>de</strong>eply rooted in the present. Zao is a documentary film portrait, ma<strong>de</strong> as a tribute<br />
to a son of Africa. He is like no one else, he is a monument, his world is<br />
mainly ma<strong>de</strong> of words, written and performed by him to make us aware! He is a<br />
« mo<strong>de</strong>rn storyteller» of Africa «cadavere ».<br />
