Oggi l’accoglienza turistica deve andare oltre
l’impeccabile ospitalità – ormai quasi scontata a certi livelli -
and public relations for several industries since
Quality: that means to aim for the tourist’s satisfaction,
to exceed his expectations, to transform him
into the first excellence testimonial. In the experiential
tourism the quality goes hand in hand with
identity and authenticity. Today the tourist reception
has to go beyond the impeccable hospitality,
that is now almost taken for granted at certain levels,
and it should aim for goals that preserve the territory.
In this sense, the communication business
could do very much for the ability to describe the
distinctive elements of the destination, but also for
the “relations management” because the quality of
sharing occurs precisely in the correct interaction
between operators, host communities and visitors.
Ethics: the excellence leads businesses and destinations
to projects increasingly distant from that of
mass tourism which has developed without any
attention to the tangible and intangible resources
preservation of the territories, until a few years ago.
Today, the tourists believe essential to pay more
attention to sustainability and ethical values and to
promote a tourism that respects the environment,
local cultures and the growth of communities. The
professional communicator could have an essential
role in drawing the corporate social responsibility
importance, because the heart of that responsibility
is the adoption of transparent communication and
the organization ability to relate with all its stakeholders
in order to balance their interests.
