Visitors could touch the soft leather used for the coating of the “1921” model and find out more on the innovative
journey with Gucci Bamboo watch. Moreover they could admire the selection of materials and the
tools used, from beeswax and natural lacquer – used for the bamboo watch bezel –to the spools of cotton up
and the selection of needles needed to sew the lining of the “1921” model. Customers could interact with the
craftsman at work, asking questions, gaining more knowledge about his abilities and may also buy the finished
assembled watch during the event. A video will go along with the exhibition, showing the craftsmen at
work and highlighting the manufacturing process, so as to enrich the presentation. The Artisan Clock Corner
is designed to show how Gucci Timepieces continue to use traditional techniques and a winning fine craftsmanship
performance. Visitors and customers could interact with the show and leave the exhibition with a
strong sense of having personally experienced the solid values ??of the fashion house.
Commenting on the future of Gucci Timepieces and projects, Michele Sofisti said: “In a world that moves
faster and faster and is becoming increasingly digital, people look for things that last over time: for this reason,
Gucci’squality and creativity are intended to triumph in the future. Gucci’s goal is to continue to evolve and keep
the creativity flag high, as we have done since 1921 to withstand time ... “
I visitatori potranno toccare la morbida pelle
utilizzata per il rivestimento del “1921” e scoprire
di più sull’innovativo viaggio di Gucci
con il bambù. Ammireranno l’assortimento di
materiali e strumenti: dalla cera d’api e la lacca
naturale, utilizzate per la lunetta in bambù, ai
rocchetti di cotone fino alla selezione di aghi
necessari per cucire il rivestimento del “1921”.
I clienti potranno interagire con l’artigiano
all’opera, ponendo domande, acquisendo così
più conoscenze sulle sue abilità e potranno
anche acquistare l’orologio finito assemblato
durante l’evento. Un video accompagnerà l’esposizione,
mostrando gli artigiani all’opera e
mettendo in risalto il processo manifatturiero,
così da arricchire la presentazione. L’Artisan
Corner Orologeria ha lo scopo di mostrare
come Gucci Timepieces continui ad utilizzare
tecniche tradizionali e un’artigianalità pregiata
vincente. I visitatori e i clienti potranno interagire
con la mostra e lasceranno l’esposizione
con la forte sensazione di aver personalmente
sperimentato i solidi valori della Maison.
Commentando il futuro di Gucci Timepieces
e i suoi progetti, Michele Sofisti ha dichiarato:
