sulla mostra: “Conosco Marilyn da sempre e da bambina
credevo, addirittura, che fosse ancora in vita. Per me
rappresenta un mix unico di fragilità, stupore e sensualità e
vedere dal vivo i costumi che ha indossato nei suoi film è
stata un’emozione grandissima. Ascoltare la poesia che
Pasolini le ha dedicato mi ha davvero commossa”.
Norma Jane Baker, in arte Marilyn Monroe, viene omaggiata
con un racconto profondo ed inaspettato. Una
straordinaria variazione sul tema che apre spiragli inesplorati
sulla sua vita privata e sul suo rapporto con la sua
immagine pubblica di grande star, di cui aveva piena consapevolezza.
Si parte con calzature d’eccezione, prototipi
unici e modelli storici della Maison Ferragamo (in foto)
che ne hanno siglato il successo mondiale, accanto ai rarissimi
pezzi disegnati per le star di tutto il mondo: Audrey
Hepburn, Anna Magnani e Sofia Loren sono tra le dive
cui il “Calzolaio delle stelle” dedicò dei modelli esclusivi.

Violante Placido, who shared some thoughts on the
event with us: “I have known Marilyn all along and in my
childhood I believed she was still alive. To me she represents
a unique mix of fragility, sensuality and amazement and it
was an incredible emotion to see the costumes she wore in her
movies in person. I was really touched by the poem Pasolini
dedicated to her. “
