CERGALLERIA Essiccamento e cottura SITI-B&T GROUP Via Prampolini 18, 41043 Formigine (MO) Tel 059 446111 - Fax 059 446555 www.siti-bt.com - info@siti-bt.com Forno a rulli I forni a rulli di ultima generazione, sviluppati dal gruppo Siti-B&T per la cottura di prodotti ceramici, presentano caratteristiche altamente innovative. Lo studio in laboratorio della conformazione della testina di miscelazione aria e gas e della camera di combustione in carburo di silicio ha consentito di ottimizzare lo scambio termico con il prodotto da cuocere, dove prevale la convezione sull’irraggiamento. È stato altresì migliorato il rendimento dei bruciatori anche a bassi volumi d’aria e la finezza della loro regolazione. L’adozione di una combinazione di bruciatori ad alta velocità e di speciali bruciatori radiali (in quantità da 6 a 14, a seconda della lunghezza del forno) ha permesso di ottenere ottimi risultati in termini di calibro, planarità e toni soprattutto in prodotti come il granito, ma anche in caso di monocottura e monoporosa si è registrato un rientro di calibro di due decimi su formati medio-grandi. Anche nell’eventualità di variazioni di carico (pieno/vuoto o variazioni del ciclo), pressione e temperatura si stabilizzano automaticamente, permettendo al forno di rimanere perfettamente stabile e insensibile sia durante le fasi di preriscaldo che di raffreddamento, oltre che di avere una capacità di raffreddamento superiore al 10%, senza problemi di rotture e scarti alla ripresa della produzione; il prodotto in arrivo dalla linea di alimentazione al forno è sempre in ottime condizioni all’uscita del forno stesso. Le tubazioni per l’aria di combustione e raffreddamento rapido del forno, integrate nella struttura portante dei moduli, consentono risparmi energetici in quanto l’aria comburente si riscalda a 65-70°C, senza l’ausilio di nessun dispositivo, inoltre l’isolamento dei moduli, realizzato con materiali ecologici, è in grado di mantenere la temperatura esterna al forno non superiore ai 40°C rispetto alla temperatura ambiente. Importanti miglioramenti sull’incremento di produttività sono stati apportati anche grazie alla motorizzazione dei rulli, di tipo “multitraino”, realizzata con motoriduttori gestiti da inverter, installati ogni tre moduli del forno con funzionamento completamente a secco, con conseguenti vantaggi in termini di pulizia e manutenzione. Questo sistema di movimentazione consente un avanzamento uniforme del prodotto, con velocità differenziate, per assorbire gli eventuali spazi conseguenti al ritiro del materiale, consentendo inoltre un movimento avanti-indietro che arresta, in caso di necessità, solamente l’avanzamento del prodotto e non la rotazione dei rulli, riducendo i pericoli di deformazione degli stessi. Particolarmente efficiente è l’impianto di combustione ad aria fissa e gas modulato, che permette la riduzione dei consumi e un’uniformità di temperatura nella sezione di cottura con differenza massima pari a 5°C fino a bocche forno di 3200 mm. 92 CER novembre/dicembre 2009 Roller kiln The latest generation of roller kilns for firing ceramics, developed by Siti-B&T Group, offers some extremely innovative features. Laboratory research into the shape of the air and gas mixing head and of the combustion chamber in silicon carbide, has made it possible to optimise the exchange of heat with the product to be fired where convection prevails over irradiation. The performance and fine tuning of the burners have also been improved, even with low air volumes. The combination of high speed burners and special heat diffusing burners (between 6 and 14, depending on the kiln length) has made it possible to achieve excellent results in term of work-size, flatness and colour, especially for products such as granite. However, two tenths of work-size shrinkage was also found with medium and large sizes of single-fired and monoporosa tiles. Even in case of load variations (full/void or changes in the cycle), the pressure and temperature stabilise themselves automatically, so the kiln remains perfectly stable and is not affected during the preheating and the cooling stages. It also has a cooling capacity in excess of 10%, with no problems of breakage and rejections when production resumes; the product that is fed from the supply line to the kiln is always in excellent conditions when it leaves the kiln. The air pipes for the combustion and rapid cooling of the kiln, built into the supporting structure of the modules, save energy as the air is heated to 65-70°C for combustion without the need for any external device. What’s more, the insulation of the modules uses eco-friendly materials and is capable of keeping the external kiln temperature to within 40°C of the room temperature. Important improvements for increased productivity were also achieved by means of motorised “multi-traction” rollers, using inverter-managed reduction gears fitted on one out of every three modules of the kiln with completely dry operation, resulting in benefits in terms of cleaning and maintenance. This motion system enables uniform progress of the product at differentiated speeds in order to absorb any spaces resulting from the shrinkage of the material. Forward and backward motion is also possible. When it is necessary, only the progress of the product stops, not the rotation of the rollers thus reducing the danger of roller distortion. The combustion system using pre-set air and modulated gas is particularly efficient and can cut consumption with a uniform temperature in the firing section with maximum differences of 5°C for kiln mouths up to 3200 mm.

Nei casi tecnicamente opportuni o economicamente interessanti è prevista la ossicombustione. La lunga esperienza impiantistica consente infine di potere studiare e realizzare l’inserimento dei forni proposti in un impianto <strong>completo</strong> di dosaggio materie prime, alimentazione e scarico del prodotto finito che consenta la massima produttività ed il massimo rendimento termico ed economico. Tanks with dimensions from 0.5 to 20 m², with fixed or swinging plane with various geometry, using the most suitable materials, tested in many realized systems: all this ensure the right balance among productivity, life and managing economy necessary on a more and more demanding and specific market. The combustion system with its single or multiple burners, the most effective systems for the temperature detection and adjustment, a suitable sizing and the thermal recovery thanks to the preheating of the comburent air at values higher than 400°C: all this enables to reduce the specific consumption as much as possible, sometimes with values lower than 2000 kcal/kg of molten product. Oxy-combustion is used in the technically suitable or economically interesting cases. The long engineering experience, in the end, enables to study and realize the fitting of the suggested kilns in a complete system for raw material batching, finished product feeding and unloading, getting the highest productivity and the top thermal and economic yield. 2009 novembre/dicembre CER 93
