Passing Data to the Simulator Automation Server Passing Data to the Simulator Automation Server All data to the Simulator Automation Server is passed by value rather than by reference (in pointer terminology, this corresponds to sending data instead of pointer to data; in Microsoft Visual Basic®, this corresponds to sending data ByVal instead of ByRef). This makes the marshalling of data between client software and the COM object much easier. No Optional Parameters There are no optional parameters for any of the Simulator Automation functions.
