Water separator*
The water separator indicator lamp is located
on the centre console.

1 Indicator lamp
When you switch on the ignition, indicator
lamp 1 lights up for one second (function
check) and then goes out again.
The water separator must be serviced if:
indicator lamp 1 does not go out after
the ignition is switched on
indicator lamp 1 lights up while you
are driving

Visit a qualified specialist workshop,
e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre,
as soon as possible.

If you continue to drive for a long period
of time with indicator lamp 1 lit,
this could lead to engine damage. Damage
resulting from this will not be covered
by the vehicle's warranty.
