Changing the batteries
If the remote control batteries are discharged,
you can only lock and unlock the
vehicle manually using the emergency key
element ( page 348).
If the batteries for the auxiliary heating*
remote control are discharged, you can
only switch the auxiliary heating* on and
off using the buttons in the vehicle
( page 193).
It is then advisable to have the batteries
changed at a qualified specialist workshop,
e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.
Risk of poisoning G
Batteries contain poisonous and caustic
substances. You should therefore keep batteries
away from children.
If a battery is swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.
Environmental note H
Do not dispose of batteries with the household
rubbish. Return discharged batteries
to a qualified specialist workshop, e.g. a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre, or at a special
collection point for old batteries.
