Engine compartment<br />

Engine oil !<br />

The vehicle consumes a maximum of 0.8 l<br />

of oil per 1,000 km, depending on your<br />

driving style. Oil consumption can exceed<br />

this if:<br />

the vehicle is new<br />

you often drive at high engine speeds<br />

The engine oil consumption can only be estimated<br />

once a lengthy distance has been<br />

covered.<br />

Do not use special lubricant additives.<br />

They can lead to increased wear and<br />

damage of the mechanical assemblies.<br />

The use of fuel additives could result in<br />

a limitation of your warranty entitlement.<br />

Checking the engine oil level<br />

When checking the oil level, the vehicle<br />

must:<br />

be standing level<br />

be at normal operating temperature<br />

have been standing with the engine<br />

switched off for at least five minutes<br />

Using the operating system<br />

Turn the ignition to position 2<br />

( page 35).<br />

The standard display appears in the<br />

multi-function display ( page 129).
