Open-air<br />

Risk of injury G<br />

Make sure that nobody can become trapped<br />

or injured by moving parts such as the soft top<br />

frame as you open or close the soft top.<br />

Release the soft top switch if danger threatens.<br />

The soft top mechanism stops immediately.<br />

When opening and closing the soft top,<br />

make sure that:<br />

the tonneau cover* is not attached<br />

to the opened soft top<br />

there is sufficient clearance to allow<br />

the soft top to be swung upwards<br />

and opened completely<br />

the luggage compartment is only<br />

loaded up to the height of the luggage<br />

compartment cover<br />

the luggage compartment cover is<br />

not forced upwards by the load<br />

there is nothing on top of the luggage<br />

compartment cover<br />

no roof rack is fitted<br />

the soft top is not dirty or wet<br />

the outside temperature is above<br />

–15 °C<br />

the soft top material is not frozen<br />

the vehicle is not standing at a<br />

steep angle, e.g. on rough terrain<br />

You could otherwise damage the softtop<br />

material, the soft-top window or<br />

the soft-top mechanism.<br />

Opening<br />

Nur fuer internen Gebrauch<br />

Before opening the soft top, make sure<br />

that the zip fasteners are closed and the<br />

quick-release locks are secure<br />

( page 90).<br />
