prey or when you track by scent.<br />

Blade and Claw (Kav)<br />

You can combine the benefits<br />

of your various forms into an<br />

effective fighting technique.<br />

Prerequisites: Two-Weapon<br />

Fighting, base aack bonus +1.<br />

Benefit: When in hybrid form<br />

and fighting with a weapon and<br />

using a claw aack in your offhand,<br />

in addition to the standard<br />

single aack you get with an<br />

off-hand weapon, you may make a<br />

second off-hand aack, albeit at a<br />

–5 penalty.<br />

Normal: Without this feat,<br />

you can only get a single extra<br />

aack with an off-hand weapon or<br />

natural aack.<br />

Special: A kav fighter may select<br />

Blade and Claw as a fighter bonus<br />

feat.<br />

If combined with Improved<br />

Two-Weapon Fighting, the kav<br />

may make two additional aacks<br />

with his claw aack, each at a –5 penalty. If combined with Greater<br />

Two-Weapon Fighting, the kav may make a third additional aack,<br />

but at a –10 penalty.<br />

Brawler (General)<br />

You are a natural fighter with your hands and feet.<br />

Prerequisites: Improved Unarmed Strike, base aack bonus +3.<br />

Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus to aack rolls when making<br />

unarmed strikes or using improvised weapons such as chairs,<br />

tables, and boles. Additionally, your unarmed strike damage<br />

increases as follows. This feat does not affect natural weapons. If<br />

you have monk levels, you may apply the benefits of this feat to<br />

your unarmed damage.<br />

Notes on Standard PHB Feats<br />

Deflect Arrows<br />

If you possess both the Deflect Arrows and<br />

Weapon Finesse feats, then you may aempt to<br />

deflect missiles at DC +4 utilizing a weapon for<br />

which you have taken the laer feat. This feat<br />

may not be used to deflect bullets.<br />

Far Shot<br />

Multiply firearm range increments by one-half<br />

when using black powder firearms. Muskets<br />

firing buckshot and black powder artillery gain<br />

no benefit from this feat.<br />

Rapid Shot<br />

This feat does not benefit firearms or black<br />

powder artillery; see instead Rapid Gunner<br />

and Speed Loader.<br />

Weapon Focus (General)<br />

When taking the Weapon Focus feat with a<br />

firearm or artillery piece, you need not take it<br />

with each specific type or caliber of firearm.<br />

Instead, the following categories are used:<br />

Bayonet (all sizes)<br />

Cannon (all sizes)<br />

Dwarven axe musket<br />

Dwarven volley gun<br />

Fowling piece<br />

Chapter Ten: Skills & Feats<br />

Normal: A creature’s unarmed strike deals damage according to<br />

its size as follows: Small 1d2, Medium-size 1d3, Large 1d6, Huge<br />

2d4, Gargantuan 2d6, and Colossal 2d8.<br />

Special: A fighter may select Brawler as a fighter bonus feat.<br />

Cautious Loader (Artillery) (General)<br />

You can safely load black powder artillery.<br />

Prerequisites: Artillery Proficiency.<br />

Benefit: Any time you’re called upon to roll on Table 11–10:<br />

Artillery Misfire Results when using an artillery piece, subtract<br />

20% times the proportion of crew members who have Cautious<br />

Loader (rounding down); i.e., if only half do, subtract 10%, and<br />

if one-third have Cautious Loader (artillery), subtract 6% (20/3<br />

rounded down).<br />

If called upon to make a Spot check to avoid double-loading a<br />

weapon as a result of a roll on Table 11–10: Artillery Misfire Results,<br />

each crew member with Cautious Loader adds +1 to the die roll.<br />

Special: A fighter may select Cautious Loader (artillery) as a<br />

fighter bonus feat.<br />

Cautious Loader (Firearms) [Fighter, General]<br />

You can safely load firearms.<br />

Prerequisites: Firearms Proficiency.<br />

Benefit: Any time you’re called upon to roll on Table 11-9: Firearm<br />

Misfire Results when using a firearm, subtract 20% from the roll.<br />

If called upon to make a Spot check to avoid double-loading a<br />

weapon as a result of a roll on Table 11-9: Firearm Misfire Results,<br />

you add +4 to the die roll.<br />

Special: A fighter may select Cautious Loader (firearms) as a<br />

fighter bonus feat.<br />

Claws of Vengeance (Kav)<br />

Your natural weapons are ideal for combating other kav.<br />

Prerequisites: Must have natural weaponry.<br />

Benefit: For the purposes of overcoming damage reduction, your<br />

natural aacks count as silver.<br />

Contortionist (General)<br />

You are lithe and flexible, and you can remove joints from their<br />

proper location to make yourself bend in unusual ways.<br />

Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus to Escape Artist checks, and you<br />

may always take 10 with this skill even when rushed or threatened.<br />

In addition, you gain a +1 bonus on Reflex saves.<br />

Dexterous (General)<br />

You are a master of dexterous feats.<br />

Prerequisites: Dex 13, Tumble 8 ranks.<br />

Benefit: When wearing armor or carrying a heavy load, halve<br />

the check penalty to the following skills: Balance, Climb, Jump, and<br />

Tumble. In addition, you may always take 10 with these skills, even<br />

when rushed or threatened.<br />

Eagle Eyes (General)<br />

Your sharp eyes make you an ideal lookout and a valuable<br />

commodity to a vehicle’s crew.<br />

Benefit: You have excellent eyesight and can see twice as far as<br />

normal. If you have darkvision, double its range. You also gain a +2<br />

bonus to Spot checks.<br />

Endurance Swimmer (General)<br />

You are adept at swimming in adverse conditions.<br />

Prerequisite: Str 13, Endurance.<br />

Benefit: When make a Swim check while wearing armor<br />

or carrying a heavy load, you take the only the normal check
