DIQUE, (1) dike, dam, mole or mound to prevent inundations, see
albarradon, chamburgo, u. trincho (2), virada ; (2) dam, mine-dam,
see cerramiento, presa (1) ; d. lateral, wing of a dam ; (3) dock ; d. de
construction, or d. seco, dry dock ; (4) canal, thus in salinas of
Torrevieja, Alicante, Sp. a canal with two branches, the sides of
which are walls of squared stone (silleria) ; on the banks are
