claimed by the administration and persons employed in mines (M. J.

BUSCONES, Mex. (1) searchers or explorers ; those who search for ore in
abandoned mines, or who give notice of it in order to claim a reward
(Gamboa, 1761), syn. Peru, busconeros, Mex. poquiteros, comp. bare-
quero, buscador, cateador, catero, faiscador, gambucino (1), garimpeiro
(1), mazamorrero, raspadores, rebotalleros, rumbeadores, see rascar ;
(2) tributers or miners who work on part proceeds (M. J. Gloss.), see
campista.

BUZO, diver. In Cauca and Antioquia, Col. a class of divers 'minerosbuzos)
get alluvial gold from the bottom of rivers with bateas. Some
are provided with a diving-dress (escafrando), ccmp. mergulhadcr, u.
