Although not sufficient to develop evidence statements, individual studies found an association<br />

between other health conditions and consumption of fruit and vegetables. These include:<br />

decreased risk of high blood pressure [982]<br />

decreased risk of dementia [317]<br />

decreased risk of head and neck cancer [983]<br />

decreased risk of various upper digestive tract cancers [44, 864, 984-986]<br />

decreased risk of prostate cancer [229, 987]<br />

obesity [988, 989].<br />

Although not sufficient to develop evidence statements, individual studies found no evidence an<br />

association between consumption of fruit and vegetables and pancreatic cancer [585, 990, 991].<br />
