the requirements in ISO 11117 and Technical Corrigendum 1 (IBR, see § 171.7 <strong>of</strong> this<br />

subchapter). The cap must have vent-holes <strong>of</strong> sufficient cross-sectional area to evacuate<br />

the gas if leakage occurs at the valve;<br />

prescribed, the valve must conform to the requirements in ISO 13340 (IBR, see § 171.7<br />

(3) DOT 39 DOT 39 cylinders. When the cylinder is filled with a Division 2.1<br />

material, the internal volume <strong>of</strong> the cylinder may not exceed 1.23 L (75 in 3 ) or 50 L<br />

(3050 in 3 ) for chemical under pressure.<br />
