Paragraph (d) of this section provides the requirements for refrigerated or frozen specimens in ice, dry ice or liquid nitrogen. These provisions include the requirement to secure secondary packages. Consistent with an editorial amendment to Packing Instruction P650 in the 17 th Revised Edition of the UN Model Regulations, PHMSA is removing the language “position after the ice or dry ice has dissipated” from the requirements to secure secondary packages.
