C: CURRICULUM FRAME WORK
IEC will use state-approved textbooks to supplement the student's individual
learning plan. The teaching methodology that will be used is an online project based
curriculum. This will be coupled with a Character Based literacy program for English
Language Arts. The California Content Standards will be used to define the knowledge,
concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level. Students are
required to take core classes in Mathematics, Science, History-Social Science, P E and
English- Language Arts. In addition to the core courses, the curriculum requires students
to take three years of elective classes. I E C will also offer collaborations with community
college classes that can be used for high school graduation, career training or
transferability to a four-year college. Integrity Educational Center will seek its WASC
accreditation in its third year, and will use various means to correspond with parents and
other stakeholders to inform the community of its accreditation and curriculum status.
