I: MANAGEMENT CAPACITY<br />

The Superintendent/ Principal will be the senior authority at the school with the following<br />

responsibilities and duties:<br />

• Commit to IEC vision and mission<br />

• Monitor instructional and managerial process to ensure that program activities are related to program<br />

outcomes and use findings to take corrective actions.<br />

• Report to and consult with Board of trustees/Board/Admin Meetings<br />

• Hire , supervise, and evaluate the faculty and school staff<br />

• Comply with district policies , state and federal laws and regulations affecting the school<br />

• Compile, maintain , and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents<br />

required, including accurate and timely reports of requisition of textbook<br />

• Manage use of school facilities. Supervise maintenance of facilities to ensure a clean, orderly and<br />

safe campus<br />

• Direct and manage extracurricular and Leadership programs<br />

Irle• Work with faculty and students to develop a student discipline management system that results in<br />

positive student behavior and enhances the school climate<br />

• Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and<br />

equitable in accordance with the student handbook<br />

• Conduct conferences about student and school issues with parents, students, and teachers<br />

• Demonstrate awareness of school and community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs<br />

• Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement<br />

• Communicate with the chartering agency and attend necessary meetings<br />

• Report to the chartering agency and the state when required<br />

• Career Technical Education Coordinator/Teacher<br />

• Daily Operations/Employee Compliance/Evaluation of personnel<br />

• Accreditation/Renewal /PR& Media/Web page<br />

• OUSD Liaison /Technology Coordinator<br />

• State reporting/prop 39/prop 49<br />

• Human Resources/ Grant Management<br />
