GRADING POLICIES<br />

All Students will be enrolled in a minimum of seven classes (or thirty-five units of credit) each semester.<br />

Exceptions will be made through administrative approval including the IEP process<br />

Teachers will attempt to confer with students having academic difficulfies (i.e., earning grades below "C") as<br />

early as those difficulties become apparent.<br />

Teachers will contact parent/guardian by progress report, telephone, school-loop or e-mail as soon as it<br />

becomes evident that a conference with the student has not resulted in improvement.<br />

Students who fail to maintain a 2.0 grade point average or fail to pass a minimum of twenty-five (25) credits<br />

will be placed on academic probation.<br />

Student Behavior Code & Policies<br />

Integrity Educational Center emphasizes students taking responsibility for their own behavior and consequences.<br />

Discipline is based on teaching appropriate behaviors while providing a safe learning environment for students and<br />

staff members. There are strict and immediate consequences for Education Code violations.<br />

Consequences include but not limited to: parent contact detention, in-house suspension, suspension,<br />

expulsion, police intervention.<br />

Search and Seizure — Students are subject to searches by administration based upon reasonable suspicion. All<br />

property that students bring on campus are subject to search.<br />

Mandatory recommendation for expulsion — includes: sale, possession or furnishing a firearm,<br />

brandishing a knife at another person, selling a controlled substance, sexual assault or sexual battery or<br />

possession of an explosive.<br />

Disruption/Defiance — Disrupted school activifies or otherwise willfully defied the valid authority of supervisors,<br />

teachers, administrators, school officials or other school personnel engaged in the performance of their duties.<br />

DRESS CODE<br />

The district recognizes that the type of clothing and style of hair are a matter of personal choice. Three primary<br />

factors influence the Districts expectations for what is acceptable. Students are expected to dress in a manner which<br />

is not disruptive to the learning process, is safe, and does not construe gang affiliation. Listed below are examples of<br />

what the school distiict considers inappropriate. This list is representative but not all Inclusive.<br />

• Suggestive, revealing, or transparent attire that could divert attention from the learning process or<br />

may contribute to inappropriate conduct;<br />

• Clothing that promotes obscenity, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex, or violence;<br />

• Clothing that demeans others with regard to gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, etc.;<br />

• Clothing that indicates gang involvement. No blue or red clothing, no representation of area codes,<br />

or city names on t-shirts, sweatshirts, or any tops.<br />

• Clothing, jewelry, or accessories that are potentially dangerous;<br />

• Haimets, du-rags, bandanas of any color.<br />

Dress Code Violation Guidelines<br />

• The student will change clothes, call parent to have them bring up change of clothing or will be inhouse<br />

suspended if parent cannot be reached.<br />

• If student violates this rule again, student will be suspended for defiance<br />

Profanity — Committed an obscene act or engaged in habitual profanity or vulgarity<br />
