A: WHAT IT MEANS TO BE AN EDUCATED PERSON IN THE 2r CENTURY<br />

HOW LEARNING BEST OCCURS:<br />

Learning best occurs when students are engaged in the learning process, and are able to make a<br />

connection with it. Integrity Educational Center will utilize project/technology based instruction. It is<br />

within this environment that students will utilize multiple intelligence skills (visual, audio, and textile) to<br />

work individually and in groups. Integrity Educational Center will be a small school reaching 575 students<br />

ages 16-18 and grades 10-12 at the end of its 6 th year. The studies performed by Harvard University<br />

researchers show that smaller class sizes produce substantial improvement in learning: the effect of small<br />

class size on the achievement of minority children was about double that observed for majority children in<br />

the first four years of an experimental program in Tennessee.<br />

At Integrity Educational Center, the number of students per class will not exceed 15, in order for<br />

students and teachers to develop a positive report and begin to tailor instruction to the student's<br />

individual needs. Essentially, the connection between school and obtaining career goals will foster the<br />

drive for students to become lifelong-learners.<br />
