SUSPENSION AND EXPULSION CONTINUED:<br />

MANAGEMENT CAPACITY<br />

Integrity Educational Center has adopted the grounds for suspension and expulsion of students as<br />

enumerated in education Code Sections 48900, 48900.2, 48900.3, 489004, and 48900.7. These<br />

include:<br />

• Cause, attempted to cause,or threaten to cause physical injury to another person or willfully use<br />

force or violence upon the person of another, except in self- defense.<br />

• Possses,sell or otherwise furnish any firearm, knife, explosive, or other dangerous object unless, in<br />

the case of possession of any object of this type, the student has obtained written permission to<br />

posses the item from a certificated school employee, with the principal or designee's concurrence.<br />

• Unlawfully offer, arrange, or negotiate to sell any controlled substance as defined in Health and<br />

safety Code 11053-11058, alcoholic beverage or intoxicant of any kind , and then sell, deliver or<br />

otherwise furnish to any person another liquid substance or material and represent same as<br />

controlled substance, alcoholic beverage or intoxicant.<br />

• Commit or attempt to commit robbery or extortion<br />

• Cause or attempt to cause damage to school property or private property<br />

• Stole or attempted to steal school property or private property<br />

) • Posses or use tobaccacco or any products containing tobaccacco or nicotine<br />

Products , including but not limited to cigars, cigarettes, miniature cigars, clove cigarettes,<br />

smokeless tobacco, snuff, chew packets and betel.<br />

• Commit an obscene act or engage in habitual profanity or vulgarity.<br />

• Unlawfully poses or unlawfully offer , arrange, or negotiate to sell any drug paraphernalia, as<br />

defined in health and safety code 11014.5<br />

• Disrupt school activities or otherwise willfully defy the valid authority of supervisors, teachers,<br />

administrators, other school officials, or other school personnel engaged in the performance of<br />

their duties.<br />

• Knowingly receive stolen school property or private property<br />

•Possess an imitation firearm, i e , and a replica of a firearm that is so substantially similar in<br />

physical properties to an existing firearm.<br />
