COMPENSATION PLAN /CONTRACT:<br />

J: EMPLOYMENT CAPACITY<br />

The contract will address, among other issues, salary, health, welfare benefits, work schedules<br />

performance evaluation standards and responsibilities. Promotions and salary increases will be<br />

tied to performance evaluations and accountability measurements. Contracts will be signed<br />

contingent upon clearance of a background check and will be on an "at will" basis, which means<br />

employment is terminable at will by either Integrity Educational Center or employee<br />

himself/herself regardless of the length of employment or granting of benefits of any kind New<br />

employees hired shall be required to take a drug screen test at IEC cost. Contracts will not be<br />

signed until after screening results and/or Department of Justice Clearance are received.<br />

RETIREMENT BENEFITS:<br />

IEC Board will make participating in STRS available to teachers and other eligible persons<br />

working at the school's sites. All employees who are not members of STRS,or an alternative<br />

qualified retirement plan,must contribute to the federal social security system to the extent required<br />

by federal law. For contributing stag Integrity Educational Center will make the appropriate<br />

employee STRS withholding from the employee's paycheck and will contribute the employer's<br />

portion, and in the event that the school elects to allow its eligible employees to participate in<br />

PERS, Integrity Educational Center will do the same for classified employees. All withholdings<br />

from employees and the employer contribution from Integrity Educational Center will be<br />

forwarded in a timely fashion to the STRS and PERS funds as required.<br />

MANDATORY DENEFTIS:<br />

Mandatory benefits, such as workers compensation, unemployment insurance, Medicare (and<br />

social security for non-STRS member) will be provided by Integrity Educational Center as well as<br />

contributions to PERS for those employees who are hired as classified.<br />

RIGHTS OF RETURN:<br />

IEC employees who were previously employees of OUSD shall have only those benefits and<br />

rights afforded to any other employee in there collective bargaining unit or employment status that<br />

0 submission, there are no such return rights for any employees<br />

leave the district for employment with any private employer. At the time of this charter<br />
