Note: If the roll of paper is full, it can be difficult to grip. Loosen some of the
paper, pinch it into a fold, and use the fold to pull the paper and spool out of
the cavity, as in Figure 2.6.3B

2.6.4 Changing the Thermal Paper (with the fixed head printer)
1. Remove the printer door by pulling up on the notch at its top.
2. Tilt paper holder away from printer. Use finger slot to lift. See figure 2.6.4A.
3. Remove empty paper roll or partial paper roll from printer assembly.
4. From the new roll, unroll approximately 6 inches of paper. Hold end of
paper to pull in one hand and the roll in your other hand. See figure 2.6.4B.
5 While holding loose end of paper above printer, lay the full roll into the
printer assembly cradle. Ensure that the paper roll is oriented properly with
the loose paper coming out the bottom of the roll. See figure 2.6.4C.
