4.1.1 Contract Package A (Approx. 50%) : Wadi (excluding) – Vikarabad –<br />

Sadashivpet Road (including) – Chitgidda (including) section <strong>of</strong> approx.<br />

140 km.<br />

4.1.2 Contract Package B (Approx. 30%) : Sadashivpet Road (Excluding) -<br />

mid- block section interlocked level crossing gate no. 13 (between<br />

Sadashivpet Road – Marpalli) (including) – Bidar (Including) section <strong>of</strong><br />

approx. 70 km.<br />

4.1.3 Contract Package C (Approx. 20%) : Chitgidda (Excluding) - Gullaguda<br />

(including) – Lingampalli (including) section <strong>of</strong> approx. 40 km.<br />

4.2 Deleted.<br />

4.3 In case, only one tenderer is awarded the work through this tender, although multivendor<br />

interoperability shall not be feasible to be tested but the tenderer shall be<br />

liable to provide all in<strong>for</strong>mation and requirement to achieve so at later stage and<br />

shall undertake the commitment to do so should the need so arise at a later date<br />

beyond the completion period <strong>of</strong> the contract. The tenderer shall also be required to<br />

undertake the commitment to continue providing pr<strong>of</strong>essional services to Indian<br />

Railways with regard to this product in future in terms <strong>of</strong> supply, installation and<br />

maintenance <strong>of</strong> the product in long term on further proliferation.<br />

4.4 The <strong>System</strong> S<strong>of</strong>tware development includes development <strong>of</strong> generic s<strong>of</strong>tware and<br />

application data and development <strong>of</strong> failsafe communicate protocol also<br />

considering mutual interference on account <strong>of</strong> communication in normal conditions<br />

and over-reach.<br />

4.5 Apart from multi-vendor interoperable functioning <strong>of</strong> various TCAS components<br />

viz. Loco Equipment, Stationary Equipment and Trackside Equipment, <strong>Tender</strong>er<br />

shall provide by converging design that the front-end <strong>of</strong> man-machine interface is<br />

identical by different tenderers in terms <strong>of</strong> <strong>for</strong>mats, methods and interpretation to<br />

the extent possible and agreed by RDSO so as to have unified operating<br />

instructions, decided on the basis <strong>of</strong> experience and during the course <strong>of</strong><br />

development through this contract.<br />

4.6 S<strong>of</strong>tware validation <strong>of</strong> the system shall be carried out as per applicable CENELEC<br />

standards to ensure SIL (Safety Integrity Level) as specified in Technical<br />

Specifications from an independent approved s<strong>of</strong>tware test house or any other<br />

agency agreed to by the purchaser. The s<strong>of</strong>tware validating agency shall be reputed<br />

such as IIT, Jadavpur University, DRDO etc. who have experience in carrying out<br />

validation <strong>of</strong> safety critical s<strong>of</strong>tware.<br />

4.7 The tenderer shall follow the laid down development process and prepare all the<br />

documentation <strong>for</strong> design and development <strong>of</strong> the complete system in accordance<br />

with applicable CENELEC standards. All documents shall be property <strong>of</strong> RDSO,<br />

Ministry <strong>of</strong> Railways (India)<br />

4.8 Every station/IBS/ mid- block section interlocked level crossing gate needs to be<br />

provided with UHF transmitter/ receiver to provide adequate radio coverage around<br />

the station/ IBS/ mid- block section interlocked level crossing gate <strong>for</strong><br />

communication with the locomotives. The firms are required to carry out the<br />

design <strong>of</strong> the antenna, power output requirement. The firms are also required to<br />
