functional GUI display alongwith configuration parameter settings, analysis<br />

summary, generation <strong>of</strong> exceptions and Statistics. In case <strong>of</strong> generation <strong>of</strong><br />

exceptions, alarms shall be raised with facility to generate SMS to<br />

nominated list <strong>of</strong> mobile numbers.<br />

4.12.2 The changes in<strong>for</strong>med by RDSO Committee shall be complied, tested along<br />

with submission <strong>of</strong> compliance and testing report, be<strong>for</strong>e the system is<br />

modified or the firmware is upgraded <strong>for</strong> further testing and demonstration.<br />

4.12.3 The execution shall include integration using universal brake interface,<br />

integration with standard DIALS monitor <strong>for</strong> Loco Pilot and study <strong>of</strong><br />

braking characteristics <strong>for</strong> varying loads, varying speeds and varying<br />

gradients as per the requirement <strong>of</strong> RDSO.<br />

4.12.4 Functional Testing <strong>of</strong> the validated s<strong>of</strong>tware after modifications, if any,<br />

shall be carried out by RDSO’s engineer to ensure that all requirements <strong>of</strong><br />

the tender specifications are complied.<br />

4.13 The supply and testing in field shall be first be in confined section with limited, say<br />

two, number <strong>of</strong> locomotives. It shall be proliferated later on with advancement <strong>of</strong><br />

Field Trial on advise <strong>of</strong> the RDSO Engineer In-Charge. In order to optimally utilize<br />

Locomotive, it shall be responsibility <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Tender</strong>er to demonstrate the readiness<br />

to Railway Engineer. If felt proper, Railway Engineer may decide to have trial with<br />

Tower Wagon instead first. The indicative sections <strong>for</strong> initial trial are as under:<br />

4.13.1 Contract Package A (Approx. 50%) : Godumgura – Vikarabad –<br />

Sadashivpet Road - Chitgidda<br />

4.13.2 Contract Package B (Approx. 30%) : Sadashivpet Road (Excluding) –<br />

Kohir<br />

4.13.3 Contract Package C (Approx. 20%) : Chitgidda (Excluding) -<br />

Shankarpalli.<br />

4.14 The tenderer is required to provide the Testing Procedure which shall be in<br />

accordance with the documents <strong>for</strong> the certification <strong>of</strong> Safety Integrity Level<br />

mentioned in CENELEC standards and as defined by OEMs wherever applicable.<br />

The testing procedures should be modular and RDSO Engineer can carry out<br />

piecemeal testing during the stages <strong>of</strong> execution and not limited only at the end.<br />

However, the tenderer shall be provided reasonable opportunity to set right the<br />

design anomalies if found so.<br />

4.15 The <strong>Tender</strong>er is required to be equipped with all required instruments <strong>for</strong> testing <strong>of</strong><br />

TCAS system and its components, such as Spectrum Analyzer (Desktop type and<br />

Portable / Hand-held type), RF dBm meter <strong>for</strong> the frequency range, Vector<br />

Network Analyzer, Logic Analyzer, RFID Tag Programming Tool etc. with<br />

relevant s<strong>of</strong>twares.<br />

4.16 Any act <strong>of</strong> apprehension in way to facilitate testing or supplying the test results or<br />

configuration parameter settings by the tenderer to RDSO shall be presumed as<br />

violation <strong>of</strong> the provisions <strong>of</strong> the contract. In order to achieve the purpose <strong>of</strong> this<br />

contract, RDSO reserves the right to use and discriminately share these test results<br />

<strong>for</strong> upgradation and further improvement <strong>of</strong> the product.<br />
