4.25.6 <strong>Train</strong>ing shall include real-time simulator and <strong>of</strong>fline simulator, data log and its<br />

utilization.<br />

4.26 Spares: <strong>Tender</strong>er shall quote <strong>for</strong> mandatory spares along with storage cupboard <strong>for</strong><br />

keeping the spares under lock & key at site. It shall include all the common<br />

modules/sub-modules/card frames & accessories including connecting cable,<br />

indoor & outdoor installation material. This shall include proper identification tag<br />

<strong>for</strong> identifying the spare, proper antistatic cover <strong>for</strong> cards/module to keep the<br />

spares. Quantity <strong>of</strong> spares to be supplied shall be as per Bill <strong>of</strong> Quantities.<br />

4.26.1 All units which may include but not limited to circuit packs, modules, plug in<br />

units, ancillary equipment connectors, couplers <strong>of</strong> each type, which may be lowest<br />

level filed replaceable assembly/device.<br />

4.26.2 Power supply equipment. Connectors and couplers <strong>of</strong> each type with cables,<br />

crystals, MCBs switches<br />

4.26.3 S<strong>of</strong>tware back up in two sets <strong>of</strong> CDs /DVDs / Pen Drive/ Memory Chips.<br />

4.26.4 Three times the quantity <strong>of</strong> fuses used in the equipment <strong>for</strong> each type. Spares<br />

which are considered essential by the Railways but not quoted by the tenderer shall<br />

be assumed by the Railways that those shall be required to be supplied without any<br />

additional cost.<br />

4.26.5 Quantity <strong>of</strong> Spare RFID Tags shall be minimum 20% and other spares shall<br />

be minimum 10%.<br />

4.26.6 In addition to the essential spares, tenderer shall indicate additional recommended<br />

quantities <strong>of</strong> spares <strong>for</strong> efficient maintenance <strong>of</strong> the equipment and the systems<br />

which is considered necessary by the tenderer <strong>for</strong> a period <strong>of</strong> 5 years after expiry<br />

<strong>of</strong> Warranty period (not to be included in the spares referred mandatory as above)<br />

to ensure that the quality & reliability is achieved. The details, unit price and the<br />

total cost <strong>of</strong> recommended spares shall be included in the tender as an option. The<br />

cost <strong>of</strong> such recommended spares meant <strong>for</strong> use after expiry <strong>of</strong> Warranty<br />

period shall not be considered <strong>for</strong> tender evaluation.<br />

4.27 Supply <strong>of</strong> Technical Documents:<br />

4.27.1 Railway shall provide permanent Way plan (indicating the gradients), Signalling<br />

Interlocking Plan <strong>for</strong> the sections and yards to successful tenderer so as to study<br />

braking related issues.<br />

4.27.2 The tenderer shall supply all necessary documents as per Railway’s requirement<br />

without any additional cost. This shall include following. Six sets each <strong>of</strong><br />

documents mentioned below should be supplied in neat bound books. Diagrams<br />

including tracings shall be handed over to Railways. All documents in PDF <strong>for</strong>mat<br />

and drawings in AutoCAD <strong>for</strong>mat shall be given on six sets <strong>of</strong> CD/ DVD / Pen<br />

Drive. All the installation drawings pertaining to a section/station/shed shall be<br />

supplied in a good quality folder <strong>for</strong> each section/ station/shed. During installation,<br />

a folder containing all the drawings, testing procedures, commissioning procedure<br />

shall be kept at the stations :<br />
