18. TAXES<br />

For working out FOR prices all taxes, duties levied by Central/State/Local bodies shall be<br />

indicated at the current applicable rates. Sales Tax shall be paid against <strong>for</strong>m ‘D’ to be<br />

obtained by the contractor from Railways. Work Contract Taxes <strong>for</strong> Schedule-Q,<br />

Schedule-R and Schedule-S shall be recovered from the bills.<br />

19. MODVAT<br />

The price to be quoted by the tenderers should take into account the credit availed<br />

on inputs under the MODVAT scheme. The tenderers should give a declaration<br />

that any set-<strong>of</strong>fs in respect <strong>of</strong> duties on inputs as admissible under law is being<br />

totally and unconditionally passed on to the purchaser in the price quoted by him.<br />

20. PAYMENT TERMS: As per Schedule <strong>of</strong> Payment<br />

20.1 Since the development shall be undertaken in phases and field trial will start once the<br />

equipment has been developed meeting basic functional requirements subject to<br />

confirmation by the firm that any required up-gradation <strong>of</strong> the equipment shall be<br />

possible with mainly s<strong>of</strong>tware upgrade. As such, following stage <strong>of</strong> payment shall be<br />

20.2 (a) For Category I & Category-II tenderers, D shall be date <strong>of</strong> award <strong>of</strong> tender.<br />

(b) Demonstration <strong>of</strong> Multi-Vendor interoperability is to be made both-ways with<br />

Track-side, Locomotive and Station Equipment <strong>of</strong> all other tenderers.<br />

(c) The system shall be accepted on completion <strong>of</strong> all the stages X-1, X-2, X-3,<br />

X-4, X-5, Y-1, Y-2 and Y-3 <strong>of</strong> the above tables <strong>of</strong> Para 20.1 as decided by the<br />

RDSO Engineer-In-charge. However, in case the multi-vendor inter-operability<br />

could not be possible within 360 days from the date <strong>of</strong> award <strong>of</strong> the tender on<br />
