Areschou.g (185.il: 16 [342} } stated that L. caepaestipes Mont. was the same as several specimens in the sample of 50 preserved D. utilis plants from the Falkland Islands that he has examined. Skottsberg (1907: 142) claimed tha-t L. caepaestipes ~)as the scune as D. harveyi Hook. fil. (described la'cer) r ;;>ncl that t.he Montagne's epithet took priority.
