17–9. Shirts, long- <strong>and</strong> short-sleeved, maternity<br />

a. Pre-cured, durable-press, 65/35 polyester <strong>and</strong> cotton broadcloth, AG shade 415, in long- <strong>and</strong> short-sleeved<br />

versions. The shirt has an eight-button front, a straight-cut bottom, <strong>and</strong> turndown-style collars with shoulder loops.<br />

b. Personnel may wear the short-sleeved shirt with or without the black neck tab. Soldiers will wear the longsleeved<br />

shirt with a black neck tab when it is worn with or without the tunic. Soldiers may not starch or bleach the AG<br />

shade 415 shirts.<br />

c. Soldiers have the option <strong>of</strong> wearing a neck tab when they wear the short- or long-sleeved shirts with the cardigan<br />

sweater. If a neck tab is worn, soldiers will wear the collar <strong>of</strong> the shirt inside the sweater. If no neck tab is worn,<br />

soldiers may wear the collar inside or outside the sweater. Soldiers may wear the cardigan sweater buttoned or<br />

unbuttoned while indoors; outdoors, pregnant soldiers may wear the cardigan unbuttoned.<br />

17–10. Headgear<br />

See paragraphs 3–5 <strong>and</strong> 16–10 for the description <strong>and</strong> wear <strong>of</strong> authorized headgear.<br />

17–11. Items normally worn with the <strong>Army</strong> green maternity uniform<br />

a. Accessories. The following accessories are worn with the <strong>Army</strong> green maternity service <strong>and</strong> dress uniforms; note<br />

exceptions:<br />

(1) Boots, combat, leather, black (only when bloused slacks are authorized; not authorized with the <strong>Army</strong> green<br />

maternity dress uniform) (para 27–3).<br />

(2) Cap, service, cold weather, AG shade 489 (only when wearing the black all-weather coat or black windbreaker)<br />

(para 27–5).<br />

(3) Chaplain’s apparel (para 27–7).<br />

(4) Coat, black, all weather (para 27–8).<br />

(5) Gloves, black, leather, unisex, dress (only with <strong>Army</strong> green maternity service <strong>and</strong> dress uniforms, black allweather<br />

coat, or windbreaker) (para 27–12b).<br />

(6) H<strong>and</strong>bags.<br />

(a) Black, clutch type, optional purchase (para 27–13a).<br />

(b) Black, shoulder (para 27–13d).<br />

(7) Hat, drill sergeant (not authorized with <strong>Army</strong> green maternity dress uniform) (para 27–14a).<br />

(8) Judge’s apparel (para 27–15).<br />

(9) Military Police accessories (not authorized with the <strong>Army</strong> green maternity dress uniform) (para 27–16).<br />

(10) Scarf, black (only with black all-weather coat or windbreaker) (para 27–21a).<br />

(2) Brassards (not authorized on the <strong>Army</strong> green maternity dress uniform) (para 28–29).<br />

(3) Branch <strong>of</strong> service scarves (not authorized on <strong>Army</strong> green maternity dress uniform) (para 28–20).<br />

(4) Fouragerre/lanyards (not authorized on the class B uniform) (para 29–11).<br />
