lettering, or appropriate design, on khaki cloth backing.<br />

b. Attachment. Personnel will attach insignia on the uniform so that it rests firmly without turning. Soldiers will<br />

ensure that embroidered cloth insignia is sewn on the uniform so the stitching blends inconspicuously with the<br />

background material.<br />

28–3. Headgear insignia<br />

a. Garrison cap, <strong>Army</strong> green, male <strong>and</strong> female.<br />

(1) Officers wear non-subdued grade insignia on the garrison cap, centered vertically on the left curtain, 1 inch from<br />

the front crease (see fig 28–1).<br />
