7–2. Composition <strong>and</strong> classification<br />

a. Material composition. Fabric is wool serge, olive-green shade 108.<br />

b. Uniform composition.<br />

(1) Beret (para 3–2b(1)).<br />

(2) Cap, patrol (formerly BDU) (para 3–2b(2)).<br />

(3) Cap, cold-weather, woodl<strong>and</strong> camouflage pattern or OG 107 (pile cap). The cap is a fully lined cold-weather<br />

head covering, with a turndown forehead flap, a three-piece crown, a stretch gusset with an elastic strip at the center<br />

back, <strong>and</strong> earflaps with a nylon fastener hook-<strong>and</strong>-pile type overlap closure. (See fig 7–2.)<br />

(4) Shirt, wool serge, OG 108 (male). The shirt has two buttoned chest pockets, cuffed, buttoned sleeves, <strong>and</strong> a front<br />

button closure.<br />

(5) Shirt, wool serge, OG 108 (female). The shirt has three pockets, two chest pockets with buttoned flaps, an upper<br />

sleeve pocket, cuffed, buttoned sleeves, <strong>and</strong> a front button closure. (See fig 7–3.)<br />
