Appendix B Prescribed Dress Table B–1 summarizes the attire that makes up various kinds of prescribed dress. Informal uniform Army blue or white with four-in-hand tie or neck tab. 1 Enlisted personnel may wear the class A Army green uniforms (with skirt for females) with white shirt and black bow tie (after retreat), four-in-hand necktie (before retreat), or neck tab as a substitute. Civilian equivalent Civilian business suit. Black tie uniform Army blue or white uniform with black bow tie; blue, white, or black mess uniforms. 1 Enlisted personnel may wear the Army green uniform (with skirt for females) with white shirt and black bow tie or neck tab. Civilian equivalent Civilian dinner jacket (tuxedo). White tie uniform Army blue or black evening mess uniforms. Civilian equivalent Evening full dress (tail coat).
