(2) Females wear full-size medals centered on the left side <strong>of</strong> the coat. The bottom row <strong>of</strong> the medal pendants are<br />

positioned parallel to the bottom <strong>of</strong> the nameplate. Females may adjust the placement <strong>of</strong> the medals <strong>and</strong> nameplate to<br />

conform to individual body shape differences. The number <strong>of</strong> medals worn in each row depends upon the size <strong>of</strong> the<br />

coat. When full-size medals are worn, up to three full-size or miniature combat <strong>and</strong> special skill badges from groups 1<br />

to 5 are authorized for wear above the medals, in order <strong>of</strong> group precedence (see para 29–17a). Females may not wear<br />

the Driver <strong>and</strong> Mechanic badges with full-size medals, <strong>and</strong> they may not wear special skill <strong>and</strong> marksmanship badges<br />

below the medals (see fig 29–5).<br />

c. Medal <strong>of</strong> Honor. The Medal <strong>of</strong> Honor is worn with the neckb<strong>and</strong> ribbon around the neck, outside the shirt collar<br />

<strong>and</strong> inside the coat collar, with the medal hanging over the necktie. Authorized foreign neck decorations are worn<br />

beneath the Medal <strong>of</strong> Honor (see fig 29–6).<br />

a. Miniature medals are replicas <strong>of</strong> regular size medals, made to a scale <strong>of</strong> one-half the size <strong>of</strong> the original. Except<br />

for the Medal <strong>of</strong> Honor, for which there is no miniature, only miniature decorations <strong>and</strong> service medals are authorized<br />

for wear on the mess <strong>and</strong> evening mess uniforms. Personnel will not wear full-size medals, service <strong>and</strong> training<br />

ribbons, or U.S. <strong>and</strong> foreign unit award emblems with miniature medals. Only the dress miniature-size combat <strong>and</strong><br />

special skill badges are worn with miniature medals.<br />

b. Miniature decorations <strong>and</strong> service medals are authorized for wear on the following uniforms.<br />

(1) Male personnel. On the <strong>Army</strong> white <strong>and</strong> blue uniforms, the white <strong>and</strong> blue mess <strong>and</strong> evening mess uniforms;<br />

<strong>and</strong> on the left lapel <strong>of</strong> formal civilian attire, when wear <strong>of</strong> <strong>Army</strong> uniforms is inappropriate or not authorized.<br />

Miniature badges are authorized for wear on the AG shade 415 shirt. (See para 29–17b for wear <strong>of</strong> combat <strong>and</strong> special<br />
