24–13. General guidelines<br />

Personnel may wear the black dress gloves, black scarf, <strong>and</strong> the AG 489 cold-weather cap when wearing the black allweather<br />

coat. Personnel may wear white gloves with the basic uniforms. The black oxford shoes with black socks are<br />

the only authorized footwear for these uniforms. (See paras 28–10d <strong>and</strong> 28–19 for information on lapel facing. See<br />

para 28–10e for information on color <strong>of</strong> ornamentation <strong>and</strong> branch insignia for detailed <strong>of</strong>ficers.)<br />

<strong>Army</strong> Blue Mess <strong>and</strong> Evening Mess <strong>Uniforms</strong>—Female<br />

25–1. Authorization for wear<br />

The <strong>Army</strong> blue mess <strong>and</strong> blue evening mess uniforms are authorized for year-round wear by all female personnel.<br />

25–2. Composition<br />

a. The <strong>Army</strong> blue mess uniform comprises the <strong>Army</strong> blue jacket, the <strong>Army</strong> blue knee-length skirt, the formal white<br />

blouse with black dress neck tab, <strong>and</strong> the black cummerbund (see figs 25–1 <strong>and</strong> 25–2).<br />
