(b) Shoulder marks with the appropriate number <strong>of</strong> stars are worn on the AG shade 415 long- <strong>and</strong> short-sleeved<br />

shirts, the black unisex cardigan, <strong>and</strong> the black pullover sweater.<br />

(c) The appropriate number <strong>of</strong> stars is worn centered on the beret flash, point-to-point (see fig 28–33).<br />

(d) General <strong>of</strong>ficers may wear medium or miniature stars in lieu <strong>of</strong> regular size stars. As an option, general <strong>of</strong>ficers<br />

may mount full-size, medium, or miniature stars on a bar for wear on coats, jackets, <strong>and</strong> the beret. When this option is<br />

chosen, the bar is worn centered on the shoulder loop or beret flash.<br />

(2) Subdued. Subdued grade insignia is worn on all utility uniform shirts. The subdued insignia is worn centered<br />

with one point facing the neck <strong>and</strong> in a vertical line, with the end <strong>of</strong> the “V” 1 inch from the lower edge <strong>of</strong> the collar.<br />

General <strong>of</strong>ficers may wear branch insignia on the left collar in lieu <strong>of</strong> grade insignia (see fig 28–34). The grade<br />

insignia is worn on the shoulder loops <strong>of</strong> the cold-weather coats in the same manner as non-subdued grade insignia,<br />

covered above. The subdued grade insignia point-to-point stars are worn on the headgear as prescribed in paragraph<br />

28–3, above (see fig 28–19).<br />
