Prescribed Dress<br />

Informal uniform <strong>Army</strong> blue or white with four-in-h<strong>and</strong> tie or neck tab. 1 Enlisted personnel may wear the class A <strong>Army</strong><br />

green uniforms (with skirt for females) with white shirt <strong>and</strong> black bow tie (after retreat), four-in-h<strong>and</strong><br />

necktie (before retreat), or neck tab as a substitute.<br />

Civilian equivalent Civilian business suit.<br />

Black tie uniform <strong>Army</strong> blue or white uniform with black bow tie; blue, white, or black mess uniforms. 1 Enlisted personnel<br />

may wear the <strong>Army</strong> green uniform (with skirt for females) with white shirt <strong>and</strong> black bow tie or neck<br />

tab.<br />

Civilian equivalent Civilian dinner jacket (tuxedo).<br />

White tie uniform <strong>Army</strong> blue or black evening mess uniforms.<br />

Civilian equivalent Evening full dress (tail coat).<br />

Notes:<br />

1 Unless otherwise indicated by the host, the uniform equivalent <strong>of</strong> specified civilian attire may be worn. Invitations may prescribe dress as indicated above;<br />

for example, “<strong>Army</strong> blue or <strong>Army</strong> blue mess.” The <strong>Army</strong> white <strong>and</strong> white mess uniforms are normally worn from April to October, except in clothing zones 1<br />

<strong>and</strong> 2, in accordance with CTA 50–900.<br />
