LOGIC CONTROL CONFIGURATION<br />

Logic Control Configuration<br />

3.1 Control Interface<br />

The equipment shall be suitable for being supplied as a loose item with an IP00<br />

unit for flush mounting into the control portion of a cubicle.<br />

The controller must have a minimum environmental rating of IP55.<br />

The user interface shall comprise, at minimum:<br />

• an LCD screen for information feedback<br />

• be able to be multilingual<br />

• status LEDs indicating<br />

• motor state<br />

• starter control state<br />

• trip status<br />

• output relay activity<br />

• local pushbuttons to control:<br />

• motor start<br />

• motor stop<br />

• starter reset<br />

• menu access<br />

• parameter configuration<br />

Remote control of the starter shall be possible using either two or three wire<br />

control.<br />

Have multi level password protection system, to prevent unauthorized parameter<br />

access; but still allowing access for operators to metering functions and logs.<br />

All terminals shall be of the pluggable type.<br />

The control interface shall provide a means for an operator to quickly access and<br />

configure parameters.<br />

The control interface shall provide an operator with a short list of critical<br />

parameters for common applications, including:<br />

• pump<br />

• fan<br />

• compressor<br />

• generic<br />

The equipment shall permit the operator to save the current configuration to an<br />

internal file. There shall be two files available.<br />

The equipment shall permit the operator to reload a previously saved configuration<br />

set from an internal file. There shall be two files available.<br />

The equipment shall permit the operator to restore default settings.<br />

The equipment shall support remote management via a control network with a<br />

choice of Modbus, Profibus and Devicenet as a minimum.<br />

The equipment shall provide an on-board real-time clock; but failure of this clock<br />

due to low battery shall not trip the starter.<br />
