1. The larger the probe produce more energy thus more penetration<br />

2. Small probe small near zone<br />

3. The larger the probe the poorer the contacts on a curve substrate.<br />

Single or Double Crustal Probe Selection:<br />

1. Single crystal probe should be used <strong>for</strong> material thickness 15mm and<br />

above, according to the probe the near zone<br />

2. Single crystal probe should be used <strong>for</strong> thickness above 30mm<br />

3. Double crystal should be used <strong>for</strong> thin material
