This clinical experience encompasses approximately 25<br />
hours in a designated hospital during which you will be<br />
evaluated in the performance of the activities and procedures<br />
covered in EMS 1687 during the third term of the Paramedic<br />
Program. This course meets the requirements of the United<br />
<strong>State</strong>s Department of Transportation National Standard<br />

EMS 1656 PARAMEDIC FIELD INTERNSHIP I<br />

This fi eld internship experience is approximately 78 hours in<br />
length during which you will be evaluated in the performance<br />
of the activities and procedures covered in EMS 1014, EMS<br />
1600, and EMS 1681 by Emergency Medical Services<br />
Personnel and college faculty during the fi rst term of the<br />
Paramedic Program. This internship meets the requirements<br />
of the United <strong>State</strong>s Department of Transportation National<br />
Standard Curriculum. Prerequisite: EMT Certificate.<br />

This field internship experience is approximately 156 hours in<br />
length during which you will be evaluated in the performance<br />
of the activities and procedures covered in EMS 1555, EMS<br />
1685, and EMS 1686 by Emergency Medical Services<br />
Personnel and college faculty during the second term of the<br />
Paramedic Program. This internship meets the requirements<br />
of the United <strong>State</strong>s Department of Transportation National<br />

EMS 1658 PARAMEDIC FIELD INTERNSHIP III<br />

This field internship experience is approximately 234 hours in<br />
length during which you will be evaluated in the performance<br />
of the activities and procedures covered in EMS 1687, as<br />
well as all other areas of instruction prior to this point in<br />
the program by Emergency Medical Services Personnel<br />
and college faculty during the third term of the Paramedic<br />
Program. This internship is meant to be a cumulative learning<br />
experience, preparing the student to be able to function as a<br />
paramedic in the field. This internship meets the requirements<br />
of the United <strong>State</strong>s Department of Transportation National<br />
