<strong>College</strong> Credit Certificate and Advanced Technical<br />
Diploma Programs (Completion Requirements) -<br />
Candidates for college credit certificate programs must:<br />
1. Complete all required courses.<br />
2. Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.0 in SFCC courses.<br />
3. Completed a minimum of 25 percent of the credit<br />
hours required in the program at SFCC.<br />
4. Applied for graduation and paid the graduation fees.<br />

Apprenticeship Programs<br />
Apprenticeship programs are selective admission programs<br />
restricted to individuals who are employed in either the<br />
air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, or electrical lineman<br />
industry and are working for a participating employer.<br />
Prospective students who are currently working for a<br />
participating employer in these areas are encouraged to apply<br />
for selection to the appropriate Apprenticeship Committee<br />

Occupational Programs (Completion Requirements) -<br />
Candidates for occupational certificate programs must:<br />
1. Complete all competencies in your designated<br />
program with a minimum 2.0 average GPA.<br />
2. Pass the Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE)<br />
at the level designated for your individual<br />
program (levels differ by program).<br />
3. Completed a minimum of 25 percent of the<br />
occupational hours required in the program at SFCC.<br />
4. Applied for graduation and paid the graduation fees.<br />

New Occupational Certificate Programs - As a statedesignated<br />
area technical school for Highlands, Hardee, and<br />
DeSoto counties, SFCC stands ready to meet the business<br />
and industry training needs for this area. Most programs<br />
listed in this section can be adjusted to meet the needs of<br />
both students and industry. This includes flexible scheduling,<br />
on-site training, co-op training, individualized study, etc.<br />
The college, in cooperation with the Heartland Workforce<br />
Investment Board, the Industry Services Department of<br />
the <strong>State</strong> Department of Education, and local Chambers of<br />
Commerce, is willing to explore the offering of job training<br />
programs in a variety of areas to meet the needs of the<br />
