Baccalaureate and
Graduate Degree Programs
The SFCC University Center, established in July 1999,
provides several baccalaureate and graduate programs to
students who choose to seek a degree without moving away
from the area. Under this arrangement, SFCC has entered
into partnerships with several universities to offer degrees
on the SFCC campus and using other delivery systems.
Under these 2+2 partnerships, you may complete the first
two years of your education through the community college
then enter an SFCC University Center program to complete
a baccalaureate degree and a graduate degree. At the SFCC
University Center (863-784-7408), academic counseling,
program information, and registration information is available.
Several delivery methods are available. These include
traditional classroom study and various distance learning
options.
If you are a student enrolled in an A.A. program, you should
discuss your options with your SFCC advisor. If you have 40
or more credits, meet with your counselor/advisor or someone
in the SFCC University Center to inform him or her of your
intent to enter a local program. It is recommended that you
also visit the SFCC University Center to obtain admissions
information, and pursue scholarships and financial aid options
for the university program you have chosen.
NOTE: If you are a non-degree-seeking student interested
in upgrading your skills/knowledge or in certification/
recertification in education or business, course work is also
Corporate and Community
Education Programs
You can upgrade your skills, customize a program to train
your employees, or find a location to present your own training
event through SFCC’s Corporate and Community Education
(CCE), which is sometimes referred to as continuing
workforce education. CCE classes are taught at every SFCC
campus and center and online through Element K. Many
are available through the college’s strong partnerships with
business and community organizations, such as economic
development commissions and chambers of commerce. CCE
classes may meet for a few hours or over several days. You
don’t earn college credits, but through some classes you may
receive the education units you must complete each year to
maintain your professional accreditations, certifications, or
state licenses. Each year, the list of CCE classes continues
to grow.
Listed below are examples of training opportunities available:
