SFCC and Other<br />
Financial Aid Programs<br />
Performance/Participation Scholarships - Your outstanding<br />
abilities in academics, athletics, music, performing arts, and<br />
other skill areas may make you eligible for this program.<br />
Contact the activity sponsor in the department where your<br />
specialty is assigned.<br />
Top 10 Percent Academic Incentives - These are awarded<br />
to graduates from a high school in SFCC’s district in the top<br />
10 percent of the class.<br />
Occupational Scholarships - If you are interested in an<br />
occupational program, contact your high school guidance<br />
counselor or the SFCC Financial Aid Office to determine your<br />
eligibility for an occupational scholarship.<br />
SFCC Work Study - A limited number of part-time work<br />
study positions are funded by SFCC each year. Contact the<br />
Financial Aid Office for information on available positions or<br />
to be placed on a waiting list. This program is not based on<br />
financial need. Contact the Financial Aid Office for further<br />
information at (863) 784-7254.<br />
Tuition Installment Payment (TIP) Plan - To help meet<br />
your education expenses, SFCC is pleased to provide the<br />
Tuition Payment Plan. TIP is available at all campuses and<br />
to all students at SFCC. TIP allows you to pay your tuition in<br />
monthly payments. The earlier you enroll, the more payment<br />
options you have. You may enroll in the TIP plan or review the<br />
available payment plans online at www.southflorida.edu.<br />
TIP is administered for SFCC by Nelnet Business Solutions.<br />
Enrollment in TIP’s is provided online by using e-Cashier<br />
tuition management. For more information, pamphlets are<br />
available in Counseling and Advising Office, the Cashier’s<br />
Office, and the Financial Aid Office.<br />
The SFCC Foundation Scholarships - Scholarships of<br />
various types are available from the SFCC Foundation, Inc.<br />
Scholarship applications may be submitted at any time to<br />
the Financial Aid Office, however, there are priority dates<br />
associated with these scholarships. (See dates listed under<br />
Financial Aid Information.) The SFCC Scholarship Committee<br />
meets at appropriate times to review applications and<br />
select recipients. If you wish to apply for one of these<br />
scholarships, go to our Web site at www.southflorida.edu<br />
under the Financial Aid link, download the scholarship<br />
application packet, and submit the application to<br />
the Financial Aid Office. Following is a list of current<br />
