An introduction to the study of the relationship between<br />
organisms and the environment, which has been a focus for<br />
human survival from the beginning. More than ever before,<br />
the future of our environment is directly influenced by human<br />
activities, yet we do not fully understand the consequences<br />
of those activities. While delving in to the science of Ecology,<br />
this course will also use specifi c local examples to introduce<br />
you to the natural environment of the Lake Wales Ridge,<br />
the Kissimmee River Valley, the Everglades, and the <strong>South</strong><br />
<strong>Florida</strong> ecosystems in our own back yard. (TR)<br />

This course is an introduction to digital photography and<br />
the “electronic darkroom.” The class will cover basic digital<br />
camera controls, lighting, composition, and hardware. The<br />
course also covers digital-editing and desk top printing using<br />
Adobe Photoshop. The course introduces legal and ethical<br />
issues pertaining to photography and digital imaging. This<br />
course is designed for you, if you are a Visual Arts student.<br />
Course will provide an understanding of the conceptual,<br />

an inquiry-based approach, the course is taught in an<br />
integrated lecture and laboratory style where emphasis is<br />
placed on hands-on learning of basic physics principles<br />
