1) Programme Management<br />

Describe the arrangements for the operational management of the programme <strong>and</strong> the quality assurance<br />

mechanisms that will be put in place. Consideration should be given to student representatives <strong>and</strong> hearing<br />

student views.<br />

Complete either section a) for programmes delivered by one School/Institute or section b) for programmes<br />

delivered by more than one School/Institute.<br />

a) Single School/Institute Delivery<br />

The programme will be managed by the School of Politics <strong>and</strong> International Relations. Overall academic management of the<br />

programme will be the responsibility of the designated member of staff. It will be their responsibility to oversee admissions,<br />

course <strong>and</strong> programme development, assessment <strong>and</strong> quality assurance, in association with the School Learning <strong>and</strong> Teaching<br />

Committee <strong>and</strong> the School Masters Committee. In delivering these functions, the programme convenor will work closely with<br />

the School <strong>and</strong> Postgraduate administrators. The administrative side of the programme will be located in the School of Politics<br />

<strong>and</strong> International Relations, who will deal with exam board issues, admissions <strong>and</strong> marketing.<br />

Progression will be dealt with by the post-graduate exam board in the School of Politics <strong>and</strong> International Relations. All<br />

assessments will follow st<strong>and</strong>ard school procedures for making <strong>and</strong> moderation <strong>and</strong> a sample will be sent to the external<br />

examiner for the programme.<br />
