Taught Programmes Board (TPB) is asked to consider <strong>and</strong><br />

approve the proposal(s) identified above <strong>and</strong> detailed in the<br />

accompanying documentation. If any conditions of approval or<br />

recommendations arise through discussion at the Board these<br />

should be clearly stipulated in the TPB minutes <strong>and</strong><br />

articulated to the proposer.<br />

The following programme amendment presents a proposal to<br />

introduce a research project which students will undertake in<br />

Paris in the summer between the second <strong>and</strong> third year of the<br />

programme. The project will be study-only but will enable<br />

students to develop research skills <strong>and</strong> independent study<br />

<strong>and</strong> will provide useful formative feedback.<br />

The amendment is accompanied by one new module<br />

proposal for a bespoke core language module, French II,<br />

designed by staff at QMUL, to be delivered <strong>and</strong> assessed by<br />

staff at ULIP.<br />

Part 1 of the BA French Studies was approved at the Arts<br />

Faculty Board on 16 th November 2005. Part 2 was approved<br />

on 15 th February 2006.<br />

The collaboration will be managed by the ULIP Board with<br />

representatives from QMUL <strong>and</strong> Royal Holloway, University of<br />

London. The Consortium Agreement between the University<br />

of London, QMUL <strong>and</strong> RHUL will be considered at a meeting<br />

of the ULIP Board on November 15 th .<br />
